The name Agiofarago means Gorge of Saints Going up the canyon after passing the cave Goumenospilios, you meet the church of Saint Anthony (Agios Antonios). It is one of the most inaccessible areas of Heraklion and within a very quiet beach or not at all other people. The water is almost always very calm, which justifies its name (Martsalo means Good Harbor in Latin).Vathi is an amazing and quiet beach, perfect to relax. It is protected from the open sea and mostly has calm waters.
Itinerary
10.00: Departure at the Port of Kokkinos Pyrgos (View on map here). Welcome drink and meet your crew
10:45: Arrive at Agiofrago Gorge. Now, it is your time to explore this wonderful Gorge. It’s one of the most beautiful beaches of Crete surrounded by very high and imposing rocks. The name Agiofarago means Gorge of Saints Going up the canyon after passing the cave Goumenospilios, you meet the church of Saint Anthony (Agios Antonios).
11:45: Return to the Mia Zoi yacht to have a delicious pick-nick and ice-cold drinks.
12:15: Departure to Martsalo beach.
12:30: Arrival at Martsalo. It is one of the most inaccessible areas of Heraklion and within a very quiet beach or not at all other people. The water is almost always very calm, which justifies its name (Martsalo means Good Harbor in Latin). Time to explore the beautiful shores and crystal-clear waters by swimming or snorkeling.
13:30: Departure to the bay Vathi, which means “deep”.
13:45: Arrival at Vathi. For approximately 3 hours, you will have the chance to swim and snorkel in the wonderful crystal-clear waters of the stunning bay.
15.00: Lunch will be served on the boat. We will prepare you the ordered special Cretan Lunch by using our finest and local products. We will be accompanied your lunch with excellent bottled Greek wine, beers and various beverages. Afterwards you can relax on the boat or beach until we are ready to depart.
17:15: Depart Vathi for Kokkinos Pyrgos.
18.00: Arrive back at the port of Kokkinos Pyrgos.
